Prince George County Public Schools appreciates its partnership with the Crater Health District and Virginia Department of Health and their tireless efforts to provide resources to our school communities as the end of the school year and summer break approaches.

While he spends most of his time at the Prince George School Board Office, Cofield is a familiar face at the district’s campuses, where he is known for offering warm greetings to students and staff and a helping hand whenever possible.

During the month-long celebration, the Prince George community is encouraged to wear purple on April 19 as part of 'Purple Up Day,' a recognition and demonstration of support for our military-connected students and families locally and across the Commonwealth.

Fundraiser events like the PGAEF's gala dinner and fall pancake breakfast help raise funds that support the non-profit's mini-grant program and other initiatives aimed at supporting Prince George County Public Schools, its students and staff.

As part of the approved adjustments, Friday, May 26, 2023 will become a holiday for students and staff, and Friday, June 16, 2023, will become a teacher workday and students will not report to school, meaning the last day of school for students will be Thursday, June 15, 2023.
